PM Kisan or Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is a central government scheme that provides income support of Rs. 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers in India. The scheme was launched in 2019 to improve the financial condition of the farmers and ensure their welfare. The scheme covers around 14.5 crore farmers across the country, who receive the amount in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each every four months. The amount is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the eligible farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

If you are a farmer who wants to avail the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme, you need to register yourself on the official website of the scheme, i.e., pmkisan.gov.in. You also need to check your beneficiary status online to know whether you have received the payment or not. In this blog post, we will explain how to register and check your beneficiary status online on the PM Kisan portal. We will also cover the eligibility criteria, the benefits, the Aadhaar link, the e-KYC, the credit card login, and the application process under the PM Kisan scheme.

What is the PM-Kisan Scheme?

The PM-Kisan Scheme is a government program in India that gives money to families of farmers who own land. The goal is to support farmers financially so they can buy things needed for farming and their daily lives. The government provides all the money for this scheme, and it helps farmers get the necessary resources for their crops and ensure a good harvest.

The state government and union territory administration decide which farmer families qualify for this financial help, and the money is directly sent to their bank accounts.

The initiative of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) falls under the category of a central sector scheme and operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Administered by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the scheme has been in effect since December 1, 2018.

Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries, comprising small and all farmers, receive financial support of Rs.6,000 annually, distributed in three installments. The disbursement of scheme benefits is carried out through an online mode, specifically through Common Service Centers (CSC). For any inquiries or assistance related to the scheme, individuals can contact the helpline numbers 011-24300606 or 155261.
